Overview of the POP Links website


The POP Links website provides information required for the POP tool kits produced by the Commission scolaire de la Beauce-Etchemin (CSBE). The activity guides that are part of these tool kits are one of the types of tools available on the POP Index website and are meant to be used within the framework of the Personal Orientation Project (POP) program offered by the Ministère de l'Éducation, de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche.

Four types of information are available on this website:

• Downloadable activity guides for each tool kit in DOC and PDF format
• Electronic resources (web links, video clips and other files) to be used with each activity guide
• The change history of each guide, including previous versions of the guide (if applicable)
• Information intended for teachers and tech support staff

Activity guides


To download an activity guide, proceed as follows:

• Click on the name of the activity guide in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
• Look for “Download guide here.”
• Click on the desired format: DOC or PDF.
• Save the document to your computer or double-click to open it.

Electronic resources


Many of the activities found in the POP activity guides refer to specific electronic resources: websites, video clips or other files. Links to all of these resources can be found on this website. As the content of the websites listed here may be modified without prior notice, these lists of electronic resources will be updated periodically to reflect such changes and to suggest other resources when necessary. To view the list of electronic resources for a given activity guide, proceed as follows:

• Click on the name of the activity guide in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Scroll down to the applicable section.

• Click directly on the name of the resource you wish to view. If it is a website, a new window on your browser will open and take you directly to the website. If it is a video clip, you can either watch the clip directly on the POP Links website or download it first to your computer. If it is a file, clicking on the link will begin downloading the file to your computer.


Change history and previous versions


The activity guides that are part of the tool kits currently available in Québec secondary school POP classrooms will likely need to be updated in the years ahead. Activities will be improved, added or removed; websites will change, etc.

The “Change history and previous versions” section of this site will give you a brief overview of any changes made to an activity guide (if applicable). In some cases, you will also have access to the previous version of the activity guide, so you can see how it has evolved.
